Physiovation
In Atlanta's eclectic Little Five Points neighborhood, a former beloved bookstore turned daycare got a third life as a wellness center. The transformation of this space required honoring its community roots while creating something entirely new: a place where movement, wellness, and thoughtful design could coexist.
The owner came to Sarah with a clear vision for how the space should feel, and every design choice was made to bring that vision to life. The challenge was creating a wellness studio that felt both purposeful and personal, functional yet full of unexpected moments that would make clients want to linger.
The main fitness area became the heart of the project. Sarah had the ceilings lofted to flood the space with natural light, immediately setting an open and energizing tone. She designed custom room dividers that could adapt seamlessly between group fitness and Pilates sessions. These dividers were wrapped in a bold pattern of interlocking hands that became a visual representation of connection, support, and strength.
The smaller spaces received equal attention to detail. In the powder room, wallpaper ties directly into the new logo's color palette, creating cohesion throughout the space. The lobby features a custom bench with cushions and pillows that invite clients to pause and take in their surroundings. At the entrance, a statement chandelier and sconces create a warm, welcoming first impression that draws people in from the busy neighborhood outside.
Curated art adds personality throughout, while every element works together to create a wellness studio that reflects both purpose and character. The finished space honors the building's community history while giving it a completely new identity as a place dedicated to health, movement, and connection.
